Let Every Jain Count

"We are all Jains.

We may be in different traditions,

but our roots are one,

our identity is one.

And if that very identity appears reduced in numbers — it will affect not just one, but all of us.

A small mistake in the census

can affect our entire generation.

Neglect of pilgrimage sites,

weakening recognition of language and culture,

and an incomplete record for future generations.

This is not a time for debate —

this is a time to stand together.

'Let Every Jain Count' is not a movement,

it is a silent call —

that all of us, without distinction,

register our identity correctly.

If we don't do this today,

tomorrow our children will have to answer

why, when the count was happening —

we were silent."
